WTF’s verdict: Best World Championships ever
The Danish organisers of the World Taekwondo Championships at Ballerup Super Arena can give themselves a pat on the back. The World Championships in Denmark are the best ever. That is the verdict from the WTF, and from the athletes.
“These World Championships are the biggest in history. Over 1000 participants, five courts, the new electronic body protectors, and the video replay. This is a truly fantastic World Championships. We are making history,” says Chakir Chelbalt, vice president of the WTF referee’s committee.
And the president of the Danish Taekwondo Federation is proud.
“The feedback I get from the WTF and athletes is that there has never been such a good event held before. And even with so few volunteers, as we have had. It has been fantastic,” says Søren Holmgård Knudsen. |
